This year’s holiday campaign is about the abundance of joy these gift cards can bring by offering so many options. We created motion and still assets that will live on in digital placements, statics, store signage, and more. This holiday season will feel different than any other in recent memory. In the wake of the pandemic, people have been exploring new ways to find joy. Our gift cards offer them endless worlds of joy to discover. Our visual approach is based on paper art and elegant pop-up books. We created a paper portal that takes us inside the Apple logo where a paper wonderland awaits. We approached Adrian & Gidi to create the paper world. Adrian Woods & Gidi van Maarseveen are a multidisciplinary creative studio based in Amsterdam.

With over a decade of experience of working with paper, Adrian & Gidi have a keen knowledge of the intricate world of the material. Besides their knowledge of craft, they are also passionate CG artists endlessly perfecting their goal to match the look of real paper with the freedom of digital animation.

We started the project with detailed sketches on how to approach the paper worlds.
